Minato's choice is inaction, standing stock-still as his life flashes before his eyes. It wasn't a very good one, not at all satisfying, but before he can delve too much into it, he gets the hard plastic edge of the basket to his chest, stumbling back and trying to catch it before it hits him full force, but all that results in is a face-full of pistachios and a fuji apple that might now be bruised and Jouhei should exchange it for another.
He doesn't fall, but he does stumble back and catches himself against the shelves behind him, slamming into it hard enough for the cans and loose packages to rattle and slip off the shelves. ]
Nanashi isn't even sure what kind of damage he's caused at this point. At the very least, he didn't expect Jouhei to take it like that. So now he's on the floor seeing stars. He'll come to in a moment or so.
One of the innocent shoppers near by lets out a scream because it this was really sudden.
HAPPY APRIL FOOLS GUYS. This is the worst prank in history. Ultimately, Nanashi would feel bad if he had any idea what he's done. He's still lost and confused....it all happened so fast. Goodbye world. ]
[ jouhei's vision goes blurry and dizzy for a few seconds before everything settles down. this isn't the first time he's taken a fall (farm work can be pretty dangerous sometimes) and while his back is killing him, he's not going to just lie here doing nothing. no. while he's still on the floor and recovering, he immediately reaches out to grab onto nanashi's wrist and minato's ankle, holding on tightly enough that it'll probably hurt ]

[ he looks at nanashi first and then minato as he talks ]

[ he wants to know why nanashi suddenly tackled him and while minato is seemingly an innocent victim in this, getting attacked by jouhei's basket, it is way too strange that he was following him everywhere. he can only assume that the two are working together in some way but if he's wrong, well, he'd rather apologize afterwards than let a suspect get away ]
[ There's a very strong urge to gnaw off his foot like he didn't get to do with his arm in that other thread—- but before he jumps to last resorts, he should try to salvage the situation. He looks to Nanashi, trying to convey... something... through his silent, expressionless gaze, before turning to face Jouhei and look him straight in the eyes. ]
I never got to go shopping with my friends before. I thought it'd be a fun experience, so I asked Nanashi if I could come with.

[This kid is a little too mischievous at times. That trait of Nanashi's is something Jouhei may already be familiar with, unfortunately. This isn't the first time he's been so over the top without warning. ]
[ jouhei scoots himself up into a sitting position while somehow still having a death grip on both minato's ankle and nanashi's wrist. he doesn't answer nanashi's question in regards to april fools. instead, he just stares at nanashi and then minato with silence, not completely convinced that there's not more to this and wondering if they're the types to either stay cool under silence and staring or the types to break open like a dam. ]
[ Minato's been under harsher stares without cracking; it might have been easier to corner them one by one— grill Minato in the store and then do the same with Nanashi once they're back home— but with somebody else's life on the line and not just his own, Minato sticks with his story, staring down at Jouhei as if expecting him to answer the question posed to him. ]
[Jouhei...why do you have to stare at them like that? That silent treatment is so nerve-wracking. Nanashi's expression is one of dread! He thinks he's gonna get grounded for pulling this kind of stunt. ]
